Before the sun rises, and after a peaceful, deep sleep, take a gentle stroll to the near Stoanernen Mandln mountain by the light of the moon and stars. If you are feeling energetic, walk up for about 75 minutes, or until you reach an altitude of 2,003 metres above sea level. Here you will discover one of the secrets of the peak, a hoard of sandstone formations called Stoanernen Mandln. Dating back, in all probability, to the Stone Age, this is what gave the mountain its strange sounding name. According to legend, this area was the haunting place of local witches in the Middle Ages.
Take some time here, to relax and absorb the total isolation and tranquility before going back on the path down to the valley. When the moment comes for the sun to rise, gradually appearing over the range of mountains, the area will be illuminated with a warming red light, so take a seat and feel the warmth of the sun's rays. On reaching the summit you will feel a sense of the world being at peace and a sense of freedom. Every time you visit this pinnacle it will unwrap different feelings, each visit is different.
